I photographed this little fellow in July this year, using my 50mm prime lens and kenko extension tubes. It's a decent setup for macro photography, at least until I buy a proper macro lens.

monitor calibration

I'm still trying to get my monitor set up correctly with my spyder 3 pro, for anyone who doesn't know what it does, it calibrates your monitor for digital photography by reading colour patches and then it sets the gamma and the white point. Basically if your monitor is not set up correctly, it's a lot more difficult for you to get your prints to match your screen, most people don't need to calibrate their screen so photos can look a lot different with different setups. So my photos on this blog may change if I think they can be improved by editing them.
