I took this photo (and a few others) on the night of my birthday a few days ago, the house at the bottom of the frame is my sister's new house build, a sign of good times ahead I hope.

I was able to take these long exposure photos with a tripod, I didn't need an nd filter because it wasn't too bright but there was enough light for a nice photo.

Need to find things to photograph in the winter.

I had to send back my tamron 17-50 vc, after having it almost two days, it still wouldn't autofocus properly. I received the replacement today and it works perfectly, I must have been unlucky the first time with a faulty one.

This is pretty cool, a macro collage of insects. Don't view if bugs scare you though.

I ordered a new Tamron 17-50 vc, it's only been out for a couple of months, I have seen sample photos from it and it looks amazing. Hopefully I will get some wicked shots with it, 2009 was a good year for my photography, I got my first digital slr just over a year ago and I think I have learned a lot about how to use it.
